GLOBAL NETWORK

Buddhism and Ecology in Response to the Crisis

A network dedicated to the integration of Buddhist teachings with social transformation, rooted in the vision of David R. Loy.

What is Ecodharma?

Ecodharma is a relatively new word. It combines spiritual teachings (dharma) with ecological concerns (eco)).

It is a contemporary Buddhist response to the crisis threatening civilization, enriched by our scientific understanding of ecology.

Three Fundamental Aspects:

  • Practicing in nature to reconnect with the Earth.
  • Clarifying the ecological implications of Buddhism.
  • Engaging in the ecological activism that the situation demands.
